This project is complete.

Kenmount Road is Open for Business During Construction

The City is upgrading the Kenmount Road trunk storm sewer. There are four phases of work required to upgrade the length of Kenmount Road from Polina Road to the Team Gushue Highway Overpass.

The fourth and final phase will take place during the 2021 construction season, and will involve the area between Pippy Place and the Team Gushue Highway Overpass. Surface asphalt for the area between Pippy Place and Team Gushue Hwy Overpass will take place in June/July 2022. Prior phases of construction completed in 2018, 2019, and 2020 involved areas between Polina Road, Peet Street, and Pippy Place. The 2018 phase included the realignment of the Polina Road intersection. Check out the Frequently Asked Questions for further details.

The new storm sewer will replace the existing aging infrastructure and provide additional capacity at the same time.

While traffic on Kenmount Road will be maintained during construction, there will be some disruptions and slowdowns. The City will make every effort to minimize interruptions and to maintain traffic flow, especially during peak rush hour.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during construction, and we ask the public to obey and follow all posted signage in and near the construction zone.
