About this event

As OMICRON has received an overwhelming amount of interest from industry, BCIT is working in conjunction with OMICRON to bring you an interactive online technical talk/event on IEC61850 topics.

This event is an excellent opportunity to learn and foster discussions on IEC61850 for practicing professionals and alumni. It will provide some perspective of how it is being used and applied in the real world. Current students are welcome to join as well.

Topics that will be covered include an overview of the IEC61850 standard and concepts (data model, data exchange services, SCL) as well as a live demonstration using real world relays and test tools.
