Staff from Municipal Affairs will present the following topics:
- How a municipality can allow for special ballots.
- How to apply and allowance in which an elector can use a special ballot
- Process the elector must follow once the special ballot has been received.
- Process for the municipality to follow upon return of the special ballot
- Late receipt of the special ballot package
- How tabulators work with special ballots.
- Early count allowance for special ballots and tabulators
- Counting Centres
- Ballot account to recognize special ballots sent out and returned
- Securing election documents.
As part of this session, we will cover the physical assembly of special ballot packages. A list of supplies required will be provided prior to the session dates so that participants may follow along and assemble a special ballot package.
