About this event

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (Ministry) are pleased to invite you to this free virtual session on the review of fees and services for the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites in B.C.

Background

The Ministry's Land Remediation Section administers the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites in B.C. under the Environmental Management Act (EMA) and Contaminated Sites Regulation (CSR). In response to growing demand for site remediation services and an increased need for resources to effectively manage service applications, the Ministry is conducting its first fee review since 2007.

This review will:

  • evaluate current fees for services and site information requests
  • ensure First Nations interests are reflected
  • align Site Registry information requests with the new Digital Site Remediation Services Project

Who Should Attend

This engagement will be inclusive of a range of stakeholders; including, consultants, developers, local governments, construction and engineering consultants, real estate industry representatives, environmental groups, community representatives, legal professionals, and financial institutions.

Sessions for First Nations Rights and Title Holders will also take place.
