Holding Redlich appoints new Planning, Environment & Sustainability partner

National, commercial law firm, Holding Redlich, has appointed Thomas Kwok as a Sydney-based Planning and Environment partner.

Mr Kwok is an expert in planning, environment, administrative and government law, and he is particularly sought after where clients are faced with complex legal problems requiring clear thinking and a confident pathway forward.

Stephen Trew, Sydney Managing Partner of Holding Redlich, said Mr Kwok’s appointment will significantly strengthen the Property, Planning & Development Group in Sydney and nationally which continues to grow at a pleasing rate.

“Tom is an excellent lawyer with more than 15 years’ experience assisting private and public sector clients with complex and challenging planning and environment issues,” Mr Trew said.

Mr Kwok has significant experience in the private sector and as a senior executive lawyer in the NSW Government, and joins Holding Redlich from Western Parkland City Authority where he was General Counsel. Western Parkland City Authority is responsible for planning and developing the Bradfield Aerotropolis which has the new Western Sydney International Airport at its centre.

Mr Kwok said he was attracted to Holding Redlich’s national footprint and recognition of Property, Planning & Development as a core practice group.

“I’m very pleased to be joining Holding Redlich’s well-respected national Property, Planning & Development team,” Mr Kwok said.

Mr Kwok has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Asian Studies from the Australian National University, Diploma in Town Planning from the University of New England, and a Graduate Diploma Legal Practice from Griffith University.
