Julie Riches is an accredited generalist appraiser and Principal of Riches Appraisals & Consult. 

She has worked within the decorative arts and fine art sector for over 15 years and offers a variety of services including appraisals, estate management and object identification. Services are provided throughout Canada and the United States. Her comprehensive understanding of the ever-changing market has proven essential when managing estates and private collections alike.

Julie provides appraisal services for a wide variety of objects including general household contents, mid century modern design, antiques and luxury itemsAreas of expertise include Fine Craft, Ceramics, Silver and Metalware, Art Glass, Furniture, Textiles & Rugs, Clocks, Musical Instruments, Scientific Instruments, Bronzes & Sculpture, Carvings, Works on Paper, Watches, Estate Jewellery, Militaria, Gold & Silver Coins, Banknotes, Stamps and estate Automobiles.

Julie holds a specialty designation upon completion of the Antiques, Furnishings & Decorative Arts program through the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). She is also a licensed benefit auctioneer. 

Julie serves as President for the Canadian Society of Decorative Arts/Cercle canadien des arts décoratifs and is the current Chair of the Antiques, Furnishings and Decorative Arts Committee for ISA. 

Clients include law firms, financial institutions, government agencies, historical institutions, corporations and private collectors.
