About

As an immigrant from North Africa (Morocco) well immersed into Canada's tech ecosystem, I am passionate about helping newcomers in tech access the abundant resources available here to succeed. This is why I founded Scale Without Borders, one stop shop for newcomers in tech & entrepreneurship. Join the network (free) for access to all our resources and opportunities: https://scalewithoutborders.com.

Prior to jumping full-time in my startup, I was a Programs Manager at the DMZ (ranked #1 in the world) heading our Women Founders programs. In this role, I helped women tech entrepreneurs scale their startups into world class businesses that create global impact. I've worked closely with Canada's most promising tech startups. I have also spearheaded the creation and execution of the DMZ Women Founders Accelerator, which also included a curated trip to New York City where DMZ Women Founders secured investments, closed customer deals, and participated in Y-Combinator's Female Founders Conference, connecting with Silicon Valley's tech leaders. Additionally, I have organized women in tech events which brought together the community's tech leaders.

Prior to joining the DMZ, I was an early team member of iamsick.ca. As Senior Manager, Business Development & Accounts, I helped grow the startup and most meaningfully, we found a way to leverage our technology to help Syrian refugees & all newcomers navigate Canada’s complex healthcare system. This initiative I led was met with widespread media exposure, including coverage from Metro News, Tech Crunch, and Huffington Post.

I’ve worked in various countries including Brazil, Turkey, and Morocco. My degree is from the University of Toronto and the languages I speak fluently are French, English, and Arabic, with intermediate Spanish. When I’m not working, I’m either off exploring a corner in the world (often with my 8 year old nephew) or enjoying long runs in nature.
