Do I need a cover letter?
(upbeat music) - We're going to have a Q&A. Taking questions from the audience. Yes, you. The question is. People ask me all the time, do I really need a cover letter? Not always, but it's a wonderful tool to make a great first impression and help a potential employer see very quickly how your skills, your experience, and your career goals all line up with what they're looking for. So if you're given a choice, I say include one. Now, you might not need one if you're already acquainted with the person that you're sending your information to. In this case, you might be fine with a quick email or note. And if the instructions specifically say to not include one, well, there's your answer. (upbeat music)
