What is an applicant tracking system?

But what most people don't understand is exactly what the ATS is, how it works, and what you need to do so you make it through this stage of the process and move on to human reviewers. So how in the heck are you going to dial up some great strategy, one that gives you a leg up on the competition and gets the attention of the people at the company that you want to work at if you don't even really realize how this game works? I'm Jenny Foss. I'm a job search strategist, recruiter, certified professional resume writer, and the voice behind the career blog, JobJenny.com. I've worked on both sides of the ATS.
