Remi Smolinski and Jan Smolinski had the brilliant idea to apply Jeswald Salacuse's brilliant book Real Leaders Negotiate to Star Wars, and used it to compare the leadership and negotiation styles of two of the most remarkable leaders in the sage, each of whom was able to sway the galaxy in their own way: Padme Amidala and Emperor Palpatine. A lesson in leadership approaches to us all, and a must read for any Star Wars fan!

Avideh K. M.'s amazing chapter explains why, despite their best intentions, the Jedi failed to be the keepers of peace and justice in the galaxy (even though they still got a lot done). A great read for anybody interested in peacekeeping, and also for any Star Wars fan who wants to know why the galaxy went quite the way it did in the prequel trilogy.
