RCPS Newsletter
Update - October 6, 2023
We have had an amazing start to our school year this year. Students have successfully transitioned into their learning and are having fun with friends in extra-curriculars and on the yard at recess time. Staff are working hard at building positive relationships with students and fostering a school environment where well-being and student engagement are centered.
Our first School Council meeting was great and we are thrilled that Jill Fanning and Cheyenne Clapdorp have agreed to take on the role of Co-chair persons. Please consider joining our next school council meeting or becoming a parent/guardian volunteer.
At this time, I must inform you of my temporary leave of absence. For medical reasons, I have to take some weeks off, but will return as soon as possible, for students, staff, and the school Community.
In my place, we welcome Lynn Prince (retired Principal) as the interim Principal. Mrs. Prince was a Principal with KPR for many years, including here at RCPS and will work in partnership with staff and families to maintain consistency for students, for their well-being and continued achievement. Thank you for your kindness, patience and understanding as we navigate this transition together.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Fall season!
Thank you, Miigwech, Merci.
Yours in Education Partnership,
Mary Jane Corradetti
Principal, Roseneath Centennial P.S.

OPP School Resource Officer (SRO) Program
We are happy that the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) School Resource Officer (SRO) Program has returned to KPR schools. We are grateful for the partnerships with OPP staff and as a result, will see them more frequently on our yard greeting students and families and in our schools running programs for our students.
