It is time for change and growth…
We are pleased to announce that we are in a cycle of letting go and revitalization!
It is our hope, during this cycle of 7-8 years, that together we have strengthened community moss bag practices, highlighted the importance of moss bags as a parenting and sleep tool, and centred Indigenous parenting needs to the broader healthcare community. And intentionally shared counter-stories to the narratives about Indigenous families, and wrapping up our mothers, children, families, and community with that moss bag love.
TO NOTE:
The scholarship is on hold this year (2023).
It will continue next year! And will be cared for by a University soon!
The education session, moss bag making, and other programming will continue through the seeds that we planted in other non-profit and grassroot organizations, our partnership with the Telus Spark YYC, and through FiddlerKiss Consulting.
This was all completed through community care, donations, and engagement.
The Project would not have arrived here, with revitalized conversation of best practice and the healing power of birth, with out all of our stakeholders and community.
It has been empowering and healing serving you all. We hope that our 8 years of volunteering and work continues through the teachings, moss bags, and scholarship recipients that we have shared in community.
