Peggy Baumgartner

Chief Learning Officer

Peggy Baumgartner is a respected educator, thought leader and coach who has facilitated the development of top performers in business and sport for over 25 years.

As Third Factor’s Chief Learning Officer, Peggy ensures excellence in program delivery. She led the design and development of our flagship 3×4 Coaching and Self-aware Leader programs, coaches our training team, and is a trusted advisor to many of our clients.

As a master level certified TAIS coach, Peggy has helped thousands of individuals and corporate teams build self-awareness and she has used this same process to prepare athletes and teams for Olympic competition. Most notably, Peggy has run workshops for the Canadian Women’s Hockey Team over four medal-winning Olympic cycles, an experience the former team captain Hayley Wickenheiser cheerfully described as “the most stressful part of the entire quadrennial.”

Peggy is an instructor at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University where she teaches in the executive MBA programs, as well as the flagship executive leadership program. She is also affiliate faculty at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and her thought leadership has been published in Harvard Business Review.

Finally, Peggy has enabled the development of over 15,000 volunteer coaches through our partnership with Right To Play, leading the adaptation of our coaching programs and travelling to Rwanda to direct the rollout.

  • Third Factor is the best at what they do. The Self-Aware Leader program has had such a positive impact on our business, we've begun using the TAIS as part of our onboarding process for leaders and made it a key part of the way we do team building. We wouldn’t have the strength of leadership we do without Dane, Peggy, Cyndie and the entire team.
