News Release
September 20, 2021

A total of 7,599 COVID-19 vaccinations were administered at 92 clinics held in Toronto over the four Days of Vaxtion (September 16 to 19).

Mayor John Tory thanks all members of Team Toronto who worked on the Days of Vaxtion effort – this was the largest number of mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinics operating in the city in one weekend. The Mayor also thanked everyone who stepped forward to get vaccinated over the last four days. Getting vaccinated protects you and will help protect the progress we have made as a city confronting COVID-19.

As part of this initiative, the City partnered with Toronto Public Health, the TTC, North York General Hospital, Black Creek Humber Summit, Humber River Hospital, Michael Garron Hospital and other community partners to hold a number of mobile clinics across Toronto.

Clinic locations were selected as part of the Team Toronto Mobile Strategy data approach to continue to remove barriers and bring vaccines to residents in areas and settings that have low vaccination coverage, or who are at high risk of contracting COVID-19, or both. They were also chosen to facilitate easy access in locations that are part of Torontonian’s everyday lives.

Data shows that unvaccinated individuals are seven times more likely to become infected with COVID-19. As COVID-19 continues to circulate in Toronto, vaccination is a key public health measure to reduce community spread. Receiving two doses of the vaccine provides residents with optimal protection against the Delta variant, severe illness and outcomes.

A full list of public clinics can be found at: COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics in Toronto.

Community settings, organizations and workplaces are also encouraged to request a mobile vaccination clinic for their setting. Individuals can submit a request on behalf of their setting on Toronto Public Health’s website: COVID-19: How to Get Vaccinated.
