News Release
July 6, 2021

Today, City Council’s Executive Committee received a report from the City Manager on the City’s COVID-19 response, recovery and rebuild actions. The report highlighted the launch of toronto.ca/RecoveryTO on the City’s website.

The RecoveryTO pages provide a snapshot of COVID-19 recovery-related City decisions, reports, data, dashboards and announcements. The information included on these webpages will help Torontonians easily access information about the City’s recovery actions, reports and data by providing a single source with links and highlights from Council decisions, staff reports, dashboards and media announcements. The webpages will be updated regularly, and new highlights will be added as they become available.

Toronto’s recovery is described through six RecoveryTO themes, with an additional lens of equity and reconciliation applied to each of the themes:

  • Business & Economic Recovery
  • Public Health & Safe Reopening
  • People, Housing & Neighbourhoods
  • City Building & Mobility
  • Climate Change & Resilience
  • Well-Run City & City Finances

Through RecoveryTO, Council, stakeholders and the public will be able to quickly find out how the City and its partners are supporting Torontonians in recovering and rebuilding from COVID-19.

The City Manager’s report announcing the launch of RecoveryTO is the ninth COVID-19 response and recovery update from the City Manager since April 2020, when the City was in the early weeks of the global pandemic. The City Manager’s COVID-19 Recovery July 2021 Update is available online.
