The City of Toronto has partnered with Toronto Public Health, University Health Network, Cadillac Fairview Corp. Ltd. and Oxford Properties Group to hold a number of mobile clinics in malls across Toronto this weekend. The campaign is part of Team Toronto’s continued efforts to make COVID-19 vaccines as accessible as possible and to bring vaccines to where residents live, work and play.

The following clinics will be held this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. and offer first and second COVID-19 vaccines doses:

  • CF Fairview Mall – 1800 Sheppard Ave E.
  • CF Sherway Gardens – 25 The West Mall
  • CF Shops at Don Mills – 1090 Don Mills Rd.
  • CF Toronto Eaton Centre – 220 Yonge St.
  • Yorkdale Shopping Centre – 3401 Dufferin St.

The clinics were selected as part of the Team Toronto Mobile Strategy data approach to continue to remove barriers and bring vaccines to residents in areas and settings that have low vaccination coverage, or who are at high risk of contracting COVID-19, or both. They were also chosen to facilitate easy access in locations that part of Torontonian’s everyday lives.

It has been less than three months since malls were permitted to reopen following the provincial lockdown and we know the best way for people to protect our progress, keep the malls and other businesses open, and avoid another lockdown is to get fully vaccinated.

In addition to the #ShopAndVax clinics this weekend, more than 25 additional mobile clinics are in operation across the city. A list of public mobile clinic opportunities can be found on City of Toronto website.

Quotes:

“I want to thank Cadillac Fairview and Oxford Properties for partnering with the City on these clinics. We’re bringing vaccines directly to people and removing barriers to increase vaccination rates across the city. Almost 80 per cent of eligible residents are now vaccinated and Team Toronto is working non-stop to build on that success. I encourage anyone who hasn’t received their first or second dose to get it this weekend at any of the many clinics open across the City. I know that together, we can bring this pandemic to an end and continue our path to recovery.”

– Mayor John Tory

“Our commitment is to break down every barrier, build every bridge, and make vaccines as accessible as possible. That’s why we’re focusing all our efforts on a hyper local, data-driven approach to bring shots right to where people are – to their work, their school, and now their mall. Our Team Toronto #ShopAndVax initiative is just the latest step in our efforts to reach everyone, everywhere.”

– Councillor Joe Cressy (Spadina-Fort York), Chair of the Toronto Board of Health

“We continue to work very hard with our Team Toronto partners to bring vaccine to Torontonians and make it as convenient as possible to get vaccinated.  This weekend’s #ShopAndVax initiative is another example of our team’s work to protect all residents in our community.  Thank you to all of our partners who continue to work together to provide more ways for our community to get vaccinated to protect our city and help end this pandemic.”

– Dr. Eileen de Villa, Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health
