BCCDC COVID-19 Immunization for Older Children and Adolescents

The BCCDC COVID-19 Immunization for Older Children and Adolescents Course is available to health care providers who will be administering COVID-19 vaccine to those 12 years of age and older.

This course builds on knowledge acquired through the BCCDC COVID-19 Immunization Competency Course (LearningHub course #24913 (nurses) or #25286 (non-nursing health professionals).

For those who have not completed the BCCDC COVID-19 Immunization Competency Course or broader BCCDC Immunization Competency Course, you are recommended to do so in order to fully meet the Immunization Competencies for BC Health Care Professionals.

The course content includes additional immunization considerations for older children and adolescent populations, such as land marking/administration, informed consent (mature minor consent) and reducing injection pain and anxiety.


New and existing vaccine providers in BC who will be providing COVID-19 vaccine to those 12 years of age and older.
